Aunt Deby’s “Sister” Tote DONE!

This is by far the most sentimental tote bag I’ve made yet.  This is a birthday gift from one sister to another.

The green silk lining is made from their late mothers Christmas blouse, as you can see from the picture.  The Front and Back face of the bag is from a quilt, hand-stitched, by their late Sister-in-Law Sue.  And the side panel and inside pocket is from their mothers old bowling shirt.

Deby loves her bag and I don’t think it was because of the beautiful construction =)

Making things that mean so much to someone else touch my heart when I’m working and make me love what I do.  So thank you Jackie for giving me this opportunity to make this tote!

*****Each product is handmade from second hand clothing and fabrics and is completely one of a kind, I couldn’t duplicate any of these bags even if I wanted too! It’s my way of going green and staying in style.

As always you can e-mail me at or leave a comment.
