As you may have gathered thus far from my blog, any new bag idea pretty much kicks my butt and this Diaper bag was not by any means different! I got my butt kicked so good it’s still sore and I finished this thing DAYS ago! =)
This project has been a long time coming and was requested about a year ago so seeing the final product warms me heart!
I wanted to get it just right, and in the process made some worthwhile mistakes, so if I ever make another one of these bad boys I’ll be well prepared.
For the outside pockets I didn’t use the pre-made pockets on the uniform because Raquel requested that no velcro be on the pockets, so I cut pieces from the uniform and sewed elastic into the top portion and lined each with a purple polyester lining, in case of any spillage. They should be able to fit bottles and toys as well as the side pockets on the side panel which will be good for those small cases of wipes.
I made the side panels double the size in width that I usually make for my totes because with children they need unlimited amounts of food, drinks, toys and changes of clothes! Man I feel like you need endless amount of area in a contained space.
On the inside I have a large pocket with a smaller corner pocket to fit her iphone because you can’t have that just floating around in a sea of formula and cheerios.
Anyway. This gem ships out Monday! I hope you like it Raquel!

As always ENJOY!!
*****Each product is handmade from second hand clothing and fabrics and is completely one of a kind, I couldn’t duplicate any of these bags even if I wanted too! It’s my way of going green and staying in style.
