DONE Army Baby Messenger Backpacks!

These little bags are too cute!  Raquel originally had ordered baby blankets lined with pink and purple fleece, with the names and birthdays of her daughters on the side with the army fatigue.  But soon realized it would be more beneficial to have 2 child size messenger backpacks made for her pre-school aged girls.

Both of these are made from various parts of their fathers uniform and embroidered with each of their names.  There is a pocket on the side to hold their juice cups so mom doesn’t have to hold it anymore, and adjustable back pack straps to lengthen and shorten the length.  I wanted to make them small enough to fit on their backs, but large enough to carry a book and/or other activities to bring along with them.  Then I kept the closures simple with just velcro so they wouldn’t have to worry about matching up snaps.

I can’t wait to see pictures of these cute little girls with their little backpacks!  And I hope they love them!

And as always…

*****Each product is handmade from second hand clothing and fabrics and is completely one of a kind, I couldn’t duplicate any of these bags even if I wanted too! It’s my way of going green and staying in style.

As always you can e-mail me at or leave a comment.
