I’ve been wanting to show you these quite a while now. I gave you a sneak peak of Analisa’s First Circle Scarf in July while I was still working on the whole lot, and in the mean time I’ve received a new logo and a few new exciting escapades this summer which has delayed my postings! =/
After making the first one, I immediately decided that my main hang up with this project was that I didn’t make my initial cuts of the t-shirts accurate enough, or at all, so when I finally went to sew it, the front face and lining were uneven. I guess my initial thought with the first one was that I would cut the maximum amount of space available for each shirt, sew them up, and then make the backside to match.
Unfortunately when I cut the shirts for the front and back neither the length OR the width matched!! Aye aye aye!
So I re-opened my cutting station to even everything out.
But the 2nd and 3rd time around I made all my cuts match up BEFORE I started sewing (what a concept =) and it made all the difference.
Analisa ended up loving her scarves! And plans on giving one (or two) away to her crossfit buddies since many of the tees are crossfit inspired! What great gifts!
Anyhow! I loved getting to know this project a little better with the chance to make 3 of them! I think I’ve got it down now =) I may have to get myself a couple rolls of snap tape for the future because that stuff can come in Pretty handy!
*****Each product is handmade and re-purposed from second hand clothing and fabrics and is completely one of a kind, I couldn’t duplicate any of these bags even if I wanted too! It’s my way of going green and staying in style.
