Getting ready for the Photoshoot!

Oh man what a long a crazy process this was!  Like everything else the idea and desire for this shoot came over a year ago when I was meeting with Jolisa, my graphic designer/By kimB guidance counselor and friend, and were trying to figure out how I was going to brand the company.

Then when I was done with all the homework she gave me I would have a photoshoot, which would lead to photos for a website, business cards, and all the other media possibilities once I had good pictures!

After I got my interns back in January, was when we really hit the ground running and trying to get this shoot in order!  We needed a photographer, model make-up artist, hair stylist, and we were going to be our own clothing stylists until we realized that…well we’d be better off leaving that to the pros =) And of course product to shoot.

From January to May we worked on concepts, researched photographers, met with our stylist, planned and scouted out locations, made pinterest mood boards. (which you can peruse here or here or here.)

There were multiple moments where I wasn’t sure if this photoshoot would happen but it’s looking promising!

But I’m loving the weekly meetings at all kinds of coffee shops!  mmm…

From the meetings so far we’ve fuond some great people!  We have James Mccloud for photography, Carlos and Angel as styists, Paige as the model, and looking for a hair and make-up guru!

Get excited!  We’re almost there!

*****Each product is handmade and re-purposed from second hand clothing and fabrics and is completely one of a kind, I couldn’t duplicate any of these bags even if I wanted too! It’s my way of going green and staying in style.
