Sarah’s Jacket Clutch!

With all the madness of the last cluster of months it’s been a while since I got my creative juices flowing and let them out all over my sewing machine, so I was so happy to make this clutch =)

I’ve made a clutch similar to this one before for Tiffany, for her to use on her wedding day.  You can read about that here.  Well Sarah was one of Tiffany’s beautiful bridesmaids and saw the jacket clutch that she’d had made and soon after ordered one for herself!

She sent me this gorgeous coat and the first thing I did before taking pictures of it was try it on!  Most of the time when I get something super cute to cut up I imagine NOT cutting it up and keeping it for myself haha!  Sometimes I half dial their phone number to boldly ask if I could just keep it for a little while and wear it before I change it into something new =)  I haven’t followed through with that yet!  But I can see it happening in the near future if you guys keep on sending me these awesome pieces!

My sister even came over while I was photographing it on Damsel (my half mannie) and wanted to keep it.  But I said NO and moved onward to cut it all up!

Luckily this jacket had amazing lining in it already so there was no need to have to match it with other fabrics.  It’s this awesome sort of glossy sage green and paired with the deep maroon, blue and green pattern from the outside of the jacket looked great together.

I used the same pattern for this one as I did the last one with a few minor adjustments and this time we didn’t use a belt to close it.  I used a magnetic snap on the inside as the closure and used the buttons from the sleeves as decoration on the front and back pocket.

I’m going to send this baby out tomorrow so I won’t be able to stare at it anymore.  I hope she likes it!

Thanks for stopping by!

As always

ENJOY!
